I'm surprised at the lack of stories involving the courthouse. has anyone ever heard of any?

An update for those not aware. The Dallas courthouse is now a school. The new courthouse is on 278.

yeah it's part of KSU now I believe... or is it GA Highlands?

But I have gotten some stories out of the court house since the renovation and move. There are smells, sightings, and sounds all over the place from my sources.

Pretty cool. I am supprised that a lot of haunted places are well known, or known at all. There are some places that seem a lot more haunted than the well known places that are talked about as much.

I agree entirely. We have discussed this before at some of the team meetings. Our most haunted cases seem to be things like private residences than anything else.

We just did one case where we kept getting EMF Spikes, generally in response to questions. We left 2 pieces of our equipment running static (a digital recorder and video camera) and walked outside for a break. When we came back in both camera and recorder were turned off. And we know from experience this isn't normal.

The video camera had an hour of battery when we started and it lasted less than 30 minutes and the digital recorder has literally ran (for me) for 4 hours straight and never turned off. All were freshly charged and/or had fresh batteries in them.

Good stuff! I wonder if the fact that a lot of the well known haunted locations are visited more and investigated more causes them to loose some of the energy that causes these hauntings. Or in the theory of an intelligent haunting, maybe the entity just stays hidden or moves on all together.

The residential houses aren't as busy and may keep from really disturbing the energy.

Just a theory. Who knows?

That's a really good theory man. What if, lets say, Waverly Hills is starting to diminish, in a sense, because of all the foot traffic coming and going.

Skinwalker Ranch would be another great example.  The property was purchased by a group who then blanketed the place in equipment.  Slowly but surely, the phenomenon has dwindled to nearly nothing.
